Ana Miroslavic, a prominent figure in the realm of water polo, boasts a distinguished career as both a player and coach, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.
Hailing from Bishop Allen Academy, Ana’s journey in water polo began at the high school level. Her dedication and skill were evident as she played as a Center Defender for the Toronto Golden Jets and Union St Bruno Bordeaux, showcasing her prowess in the water. Ana continued her academic and athletic pursuits at the University of Toronto, where she not only excelled academically but also became a standout water polo player. As a 2x Co-Captain from 2016 to 2018, Ana’s leadership qualities were instrumental in guiding her team. Her exceptional performance culminated in being awarded the MVP in 2018, underscoring her skill and commitment to the sport.
The next chapter of Ana’s journey took her to the professional arena, playing for Union St Bruno Bordeaux and earning a Bronze Medallist distinction in 2019. Her talent and dedication to water polo extended beyond her club commitments, as she had the honor of representing Team Croatia at the 34th LEN European Championships in 2020 as part of the Croatia Senior Women’s National Team.
Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Ana has made significant contributions to the development of the sport. Her coaching career includes serving as the Assistant Coach for the Women’s team at the University of Toronto from 2020 to 2021. Subsequently, she took on the role of Goalie Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s teams at Biola University from 2021 to 2023, where her coaching prowess played a pivotal role in the team’s success. Under her guidance, the Biola University Women’s team achieved WWPA DII Bronze Medallists in 2022 and secured WWPA DII Gold Medallists in 2023, earning a coveted spot in the NCAA DI National Tournament.
Currently, Ana Miroslavic is making a significant impact as the coach for U16/U18 Girls, further contributing to the development and success of young athletes in the sport of water polo. Her journey, from being a distinguished player to an accomplished coach, exemplifies a commitment to excellence that resonates both in and out of the pool.
