No prior water polo experience is required to sign up, however we require all athletes to be able to swim 2 laps (50 yards) without stopping to be able to start water polo practices. If you need assistance with swim lessons, please visit our partner swim club’s website: www.ranchoswimlessons.com

Yes, most of our coaches are available for private lessons. For availability and pricing, please contact our coaches individually. (Click on “Contact Us” under the Info tab)

All athletes are required to have at least a bronze level USA water polo membership to be able to participate in practices. However, most tournaments require gold level membership, so we recommend getting that right away if you plan on attending games as well.

You will need a water polo suit, goggles and most girl athletes also wear a swim cap. Additionally to that, we encourage everyone to puchase her/his own water polo caps and ball. (All items can be purchased in our team store)

Watching water polo games online can be very helpful and nowadays everyone has access to thousands of videos online, especially on Youtube.

We are also lucky to have a number of college teams in our area so we encourage everyone to visit as many games as possible. For game schedules visit the teams’ athletic website.

Attending a variety of clinics can also be helpful, but we recommend asking your age group coaches before signing up to any of them as they have a better insight on what those certain clinics entail.

If you have the opportunity, always try to train and play with older age group teams to improve your stamina and skill set. Challenge yourself!

Most of our coaches are also available for private lessons. Feel free to reach out to them for availability.
