Jim Armstrong returns to coaching after taking several years off to focus on his insurance business, he will coach boys and girls 16 & under teams as well as work with the goalies from all age groups. Jim moved from his hometown of Huntington Beach to be closer to Pomona College as he is also Alex’s assistant coach on both the Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams for Pomona Pitzer Colleges. Jim was Alex’s coach with the EAST Water Polo Club team that finished 3rd at the National Junior Olympics in Ft Lauderdale in 1993. ” if it was not for my relationship with Alex I would not be coaching at all but when he asked me to help with Foothill I could not say no and I feel blessed to be working with Alex and all of the players at Foothill and want to also thank all of the Foothill parents for their incredible support”.

Jim comes to Foothill after many years of building Brea Olinda High School into an Orange County power, winning 12 Orange league championships as well as 8 years with EAST Water Polo Club where Jim coached 31 players that played NCAA Division 1 and many more that either played at SCIAC or Division 3 schools in the east. Coach Armstrong’s last position was as Co Head Coach at Pomona Pitzer Colleges from 1995-2002.
